I Need To Make A Flyer….How?

After about 2 weeks, we finally got the signed contract back from the realtor for the house that we had our offer accepted on.  I’m not sure why it took so long, but when you get a Realtor (or anyone else) in between you and the seller, delays will happen. Many times that “middle man” can kill your deal by how they present it to the seller. Ours worked out, but it could have blown this deal up easily!

Now on to the next step and that is marketing the hell out of it.  We need to put together a flyer and I was wondering what some of you all have used for your flyers?  In the past I’ve used Microsoft Publisher.  It was okay, but I found it to be a bit cumbersome and not intuitive enough for me.  This time around I plan on using a service called Postlets.  Even though there main bread and butter is giving you quick ability to create craigslist ads you can also create your own flyers using Microsoft Word and Html code that Postlets creates for you.

I’m still working out all the details but I’ll post a “How To” later in the week.

  1. I just came across vflyer the other day. Looks pretty good, although it is a pay service unlike Postlets which is free. If you’re an agent, you’re able to claim the listing on Zillow and there’s a “Post to Craigslist” hyperlink they provide that automatically creates the HTML code for you. I’ve found it helpful in streamlining the Craigslist posting process.

At this point the only thing keeping me from using vflyer is the cost. 150 for a year is not bad, but until I get more deals in the pipeline it’s still not worth the cost over a free service like postlets.
