accountabilityI first want to thank Jerry Dalglish for writing a great guest article about Staying Focused.  It really pinpoints what the key is to being successful in this business.   Here is a preview…

When you are focused you are productive.  When you are productive you tend to get things done.  That may sound kind of trite, but I mean it seriously.  For what seemed like an eternity I struggled with a lack of specific focus other than the idea that I wanted to be successful.  I knew that in one way I was already successful–namely that I wanted something better for my life and was working towards it–but in reality I needed to make some serious changes to my life in order to position myself for real lasting success.  [read more]

Jerry is a very positive and helpful person who can be found posting replies to newbie investors over at flippinghomes forums.  Drop by and thank him if you have the chance.

Time

Ever since I’ve started the Real Estate Licensing class I’m finding fit all the things in I want to do.  After reading Jerry’s article I realize I’m losing focus on what is important and need to concentrate on only items that will move me closer to my goal.  That goal is wholesaling houses.

I’m going on my family’s yearly vacation next week and that’ll provide me with a good opportunity to sit down and refocus myself and find the path again.

Goals for this week

  • Write and post 2 more articles about foreclosure
  • Submit another article to Ezines
  • Report my findings about Facebook marketing

Speaking of social Networking, I came by this website called Streamy that you can pull together Facebook, twitter, AIM, yahoo IM, google talk and some other sites into one nice interface.  I’m going to be testing it out.  Does anyone know of any good tools like Streamy?

    1. Thanks Jerry, having every day investors like yourself, Shae, Steph and others write articles is a very helpful resource for people looking to get into investing. It’s one thing to read an article form a “Guru” but reading one from someone who is in the trenches means so much more. Keep up the good work Jerry
