Review: Secrets of the Millionaire Mind

Millionaire MIndI’ve never heard of T Harv Eker before so when Kelly sent me the audio’s for this book I was very surprised at how powerful his messages are.  It’s all about the way you think, if you think you are a 9 to 5 cubical worker that is all you will be.

T Harv doesn’t blame you for having the money habits you have (at first). It is ingrained into your subconscious by all the childhood messages you get about money.  If your parents were like mine, they always taught you that hard work was the way to earn money, heck they would give you chores to do and then give you an allowance based on the chores.  We were taught to be cautious with our money, but never how to use that money.

This book is a lot like Rich Dad, Poor Dad in that it describes how the rich talk about money versus how the poor/middle class do.   If you read it and can get passed the corny declarations (Hold your hand to your heart and declare “I will continually learn and grow” then place your hand to your head and say “I have a millionaire mind!”) then you will be able to learn much from this book.  I’m going to listen to the audios again because I definitely didn’t absorb all what Eker was saying.

Overall I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.  The lessons are there but it comes across as a little brain washy, but then again you’ve been brainwashed to think of money as you do so maybe that is a good thing.

Amazon has this book for $14.93: Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth

  1. To me, this book was eye opening. I have a goofy sense of humor so at first listen, I had fun with it and my family kept rolling their eyes at my “I have a millionaire mind!” Upon the second listen, I took it seriously and started to look at how I was incorrectly programmed. I just love how he makes you accountable for your actions. I have pretty strong feelings about whiners and ‘poor me types.’ I found this book to be very empowering. And now, “I am a money magnet, money is easy and flows freely into my life!” Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! 🙂 I loved it! Still lovin’ it. I signed up on the website for monthly emails.
