Win a copy of "Wholesaling for quick Cash 2.0"

Scott Costello Blog 46 Comments

As i mentioned in a previous post that I have two copies of Steve Cook’s incredible “Wholesaling for quick Cash 2.0” course (I bought one and am getting one for attending his bootcamp next month). So I’m going to give back and give the extra copy to someone who is following my blog.

Ok…So here is what you have to do to have a chance to get the Course.

  1. Sign up to “follow” my blog (you can do this on the top right of the page)
  2. Post a comment under this Post that lists a Webpage for your favorite online, Real Estate Investing Resource. I’m basically looking for links to Free Tutorials/Courses that can help people out. If this works the way I hope, it will turn into a great resource for people to learn investing techniques. If you don’t know of a free Tutorial/Course then just post the site that has helped you out the most in your quest to become an investor.

I will randomly select a person on February 20th, 2009 and announce it on my blog. Hopefully this works out smoothly, but if not I appologize.

Thanks for reading along and helping me out!

  1. Wow, Scott: Great idea. If for no other reason than to have a list of resources available for people to use. Of course, I still want to win. 🙂 Ok, step one is done. I’m signed up to follow your blog. Now on to my list:

There are so many great resources available that I don’t know where to begin. Of course, I would definitely suggest that people visit FlippingHomes.com and get involved in the newsgroup forum. A wealth of great information is available right there. Second, people should absolutely take a stroll over to Steph’s blog, if they are so unfortunate to have not already done so. Read EVERY post she has ever written, it will be well worth your time.

Other great websites that I think are worth looking at are:

    BiggerPockets.com

    REIClub.com

    TheREIBrain.com

    REITips.com

A few free ebooks are available for download, too:

How To Create Multiple Streams of Income Buying Homes in Nice Areas with Nothing Down! They used to send you a free paperback version of the book, as well. But I’m not sure they do that anymore.

    Real Estate Jobbing 101

    Think and Grow Rich

I know that there are a ton of other sites and ebooks available, but I can’t think of them right now. I’ll try to post some more as they pop into my head.

  3. Thanks guys for posting those resources. Some great ones that I’ve been to and some ones I’ve yet to really explore. I’m working on a list of resources from all my bookmarks as I write this comment. I will post those when I get them trimmed down to the best ones.

  5. Scott,

When looking at all of the education online (free or not) it’s hard to decide who is full of crap, who knows what they are talking about, and who is just trying to strictly sell you education.

    http://www.REITips.com

I stumbled upon it and fell in love with the creator. Let me tell you why — he is objective. When new education hits the street, he doesn’t just jump on board, he gets them on the phone, blasts them with questions (which ends up having great nuggets of info!) and then makes his decision.

You sticking names in a hat or should I list many more and give you my explanations why? : )

  7. Brooks,

I fully agree with you about REITips. It’s part of my daily read. J.P. was a part of FlippingHomes and still is as far as I know. Great service!

To pick a winner I’ll basically just put all the names in a hat and just choose the winner. Very basic. But feel free to post as many sources as possible and having a personal review like you did for REITips is a great benefit.

    Thanks Brooks

  11. Hi Scott!

I would like to add two blogs REI Startup at http://www.reistartup.com and Gorman Property Group gormanpropertygroup.blogspot.com

J Scott’s blog, REIStartup, is a great read. He has a lot of info about cash flow analysis and is detailing all of his rehab projects.

David Gorman’s blog is a great read, too. David details his rehab projects, both for his rehabs and his rehabs for his clients, and it’s great to see the before and after pics.

Also ditto to the other sites mentioned!

  13. Hey Scott,

Biggerpockets has been an awesome forum where I’ve learned a lot from. I also have a couple NJ related blogs that I follow. Here is a list of blogs:

    biggerpockets.com
    njrereport.com/
    reiclub.com/
    thefastlanetomillions.com/
    globest.com/newjersey/

Also, I think I remember you saying you’ve been to GSREIA. This month Vena Jones Cox is the speakers, are you attending?

  15. What a cool idea.

I wind up using bankrate.com a lot. Figure PITI payments, look at the days par rate, things of that nature.

That’s the only one I can think to add to what has already been listed.

Perhaps realtor.com for those without MLS?

Hope you all like both!

  21. I guess I will throw my hat in the ring as well, Scott. The site I recommend is larrygoins.com. He has a ton of interviews with various gurus on there. They are all selling something, but have morsels of great information in each call.

  25. Wow. I am so happy that I stumbled upon your blogger while reading thru the REIClub.com forums. I was actually looking for more information on Steve’s Course and when I found out I had a chance to win a copy I was pretty much out of my seat. Looks like I just made the deadline….whew!

Originally the only link I was going to post was for REIClub.com but its almost like thats an OBVIOUS website that most everyone already knows about.

After some more reading I realized that I found an incredibly useful site…RIGHT HERE ON YOUR BLOG IN YOUR COMMENTS! I know its cheesy but it works. All these links are fantastic and again I’m happy that I stumbled upon this site. Cheers!
